With weeks 1 and 2 now in the books for college football season, out comes the First College Golf Course Poll.  Here are the results: Rank College Golf Course Nominations/Points 1 Duke University Golf Club/Duke University 4 T2 Scarlet Course/Ohio State University 2 The Walker Course/Clemson University 2 T4 Grande Oaks Golf Club/Nova Southeastern University 1 Radrick Farms GC/University Michigan 1 Robert Trent Jones Golf Course/Cornell University 1 Taconic Golf Club/Williams College 1 The Course @ Yale/Yale University 1 Not surprising is Duke University Golf Club holding down the #1 Spot in the First College Golf Course Poll, followed by the loyal and passionate fans of Ohio State (Scarlet Course) and Clemson University (The Walker Course) nominating their courses. A couple of courses to watch as the season progresses: Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie Florida, formerly known as Rolling Hills Country Club, the site where the movie “Caddyshack” was filmed. Also Taconic Golf Club, the course which began as “3 men with 3 tomato cans.” Insure your favorite College Golf Course earns a spot in the Inaugural College Golf Course Playoffs by nominating your favorite College Golf Course.  It will not earn a birth in the playoffs and have a chance to earn the crown of “National Champion” if you don’t nominate it.  Nominate as often as you wish.
