We’re excited to share a major update for golfers who schedule coaching programs and golf schools with John Hughes Golf. We’re proud to announce that Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia now serves as a summer location for our clients and guests to visit!
This move is designed to make it easier for golfers to pair world-class instruction with an unforgettable resort golf experience while using two of the most storied courses in the country, The Cascades and The Old Course as the backdrops for on-course coaching.
Summer 2026 Dates and Coaching Availability
All John Hughes Golf coaching programs and services will be available to schedule at Omni Homestead Resort from May 23 through October 15, 2026. During this time, a John Hughes Golf certified coach will be on property to conduct all the golf coaching programs offered by John Hughes Golf. And John will be there for selected dates to conduct group and corporate events as well as schedule coaching time with private clients.
And throughout the season, John Hughes will be on-site to conduct a new signature boutique experience.
The Homestead Golf Performance Retreats
During the summer of 2026, John and the Director of Golf at Omni Homestead Resort, Mark Fry, will be conducting the Homestead Golf Performance Retreats. Retreat dates are scheduled for:
- May 29–31 (Fri–Sun)
- June 12–14 (Fri–Sun)
- July 10–12 (Fri–Sun)
- August 14–16 (Fri–Sun)
- September 25–27 (Fri–Sun)
- October 16–18 (Fri–Sun)
What the Homestead Golf Performance Retreats Include
Each Homestead Golf Performance Retreat is a half-day boutique golf school experience designed for serious improvement of your golf skills while enjoying everything the historic mountain resort offers.
Homestead Golf Performance Retreats include:
- Limited enrollment of six golfers per date
- Three room nights at Omni Homestead Resort
- Three Half-Days of golf coaching focused on:
- Full Swing
- Short Game
- Putting
- Distance
- Lunch
- 18 holes of golf each day on one of the award winning golf courses of Omni Homestead Resort, The Old Course and The Cascades

Custom Coaching Memberships

Weekly Golf Skill Workshops (summer schedule)
During the summer of 2026, John Hughes Golf will also offer a series of Golf Skill Workshops. The workshops are ideally structured to provide a small group environment that features a specific skill. Resort guests as well as local and regional residents are invited to participate in these workshops. Golf Skill Workshops include:
- 90 minutes of golf coaching and limited to four golfers
- Each Workshop focuses on a specific golf skill, such as increasing distance, short game, hitting more greens, and on-course strategies
- Golf Skill Workshops are scheduled twice weekly and conducted by John Hughes Golf Certified Coaches and Resort Staff
Performance Golf VIP Programs -Available at Omni Homestead Resort
John Hughes and his staff of certified coaches will also be conducting Performance Golf VIP Programs at the Omni Homestead Resort:
- 2 full days of immersive golf instruction
- 9 holes of on-course coaching each day
- 3:1 golfer-to-instructor ratio
