Club Fitting

I recently had a suit altered, for all the right reasons, and it reminded me that it may also be time to schedule a Club Fitting Session for myself. Although I went through the process this time last year, a lot has changed. I am over 40 pounds lighter than I was last year. Due to a new fitness regiment, I am stronger than I was last year. And I have been working hard on a significant swing change to flatten my swing plane.

When I went to have the suit altered, the seamstress used tools to insure she would be altering the jacket and trousers to correct measurements that fit my body. When I picked up the suit a few days later, I tried it on to insure the alterations were in fact correct. It was then that I knew that I would look my best wearing that particular suit.

Being fit for golf clubs is no different. You should always schedule a Club Fitting Session each and every time you decide to purchase a new club. Doing so insures you are putting a piece of equipment in your bag that was built in a way that provides the best potential for you to hit a solid shot. And if you make significant changes to your body structure or make a significant swing change that alters the plane of your swing, it is time to get re-fitted. I just scheduled my fitting session. I’ll keep you posted on the results as well as what changes were documented.

Thumbtack

Also worth mentioning is a new way to get in contact with me to schedule a lesson, called Thumbtack. It allows you to register as a user and solicit bids from service providers in your area. There is no cost to you to create an account and complete a short survey to receive bids for services such as golf lessons, tutoring services, accounting services, and other items you may want to try or need assistance with. It is a very simple process to be up and running with Thumbtack. Create an account, look for the category of services you are intending to use, and complete a short survey. When you hit submit the button, professionals within your area will now be notified you are in search of their service and will provide you bids to complete the service you are looking for.
