Quite a few great finishes, personal bests, and tournament wins highlight the May 2026 Client Accomplishments for the clients of John Hughes Golf!
Let’s celebrate the short month of accomplishments by both John’s and Michael’s clients within the May 2026 Client Accomplishments!

Shawn Acker, Orlando, FL/Coach – Michael Brunson
Shawn won his first tournament of 2026, shooting 79 at Black Bear Golf Club to win his flight in the GolfWeek Amateur Tour Event.

Levi Baucom, Orlando, FL/Coach – Michael Brunson
Levi has been playing less than a year, shooting in the 110-120 category before meeting Michael about 5 months ago. He recently shot 88, his personal best. Great commitment and work ethic, Levi!

Payton Coble, Winter Garden, FL/Coach – Michael Brunson
Payton won the overall points title along with 4 or 6 tournament wins in the 2026 Under Armour Junior Golf Tour’s Spring Season.

Jason Gabriel, Claremont, NC/Coach – John Hughes
Jason enjoyed a terrific month of May, winning another US Am Tour event. As well as reaching the regional qualifying stage of the US Senior Open.

Lev Grinberg, Ukraine/Coach – John Hughes

Gaige Lewis, Springfield, MO/Coach – John Hughes
Gaige enjoyed a fantastic May, finishing as an individual T10 at the NCAA DII Regional Championships. He was also named to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) NCAA Division II PING All-Midwest Team.

Brady Lillis, Orlando, FL/Coach Michael Brunson
Brady shot his career best 76 in a two-day Claret Junior Tour event at Providence Golf Club.

John Walsh, Orlando, FL/Coach – Michael Brunson
John shot his personal best, an even-par round of 72, at Stoneybrook West Golf Club. John has improved his personal best score by 20 strokes over a 5-month period, scheduling weekly coaching sessions with Michael. Congratulations, John!

Jair Williams, Davenport, FL/Coach – John Hughes
Using a 9-iron, Jair recorded his second hole-in-one on May 4, in less than three years, acing the 16th hole of the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. Congratulations Jair!

Maxx Zides, North Attleboro, MA/Coach – Michael Brunson
Maxx won his first Team Massachusetts event against Team New York, beating the #60-ranked junior in the US at Hudson National Golf Club
What About Your Golf Accomplishments?
Did you accomplish something with your golf game that you’re proud of? Like a hole-in-one? Reducing your handicap significantly, like John? Playing your best tournament round ever? Or carding your lowest round ever? We know you’re proud of that accomplishment, but what about other golfers? Shouldn’t they know about the work and effort you’re putting into your game?
It’s never too late to let us know about your golf accomplishments. Even if they happened months ago. Let us know, no matter how big or small you believe your accomplishment might be. Accomplishments are not always something you did on the golf course. It might be a hole-in-one like Jair. Or scoring your personal best like Mike. We want to know about all the accomplishments you achieve!
Like all other posts about our clients, our May 2026 Client Accomplishments post is about the accomplishments we’re made aware. Or we find digging through the internet. It’s easier when you tell us about your accomplishments. We’d rather answer your call or read your texts and emails about your accomplishments as a golfer. But we know the vast majority of our clients’ achievements go unreported!
