July was a light month for our clients in terms of accomplishments. But the few that were reported to us, and the ones we found searching for our clients online, provide the depth of experience and knowledge that Michael and I have across all skill levels of golfers. Lev Grinberg, Ukraine/Coach – John Hughes
Lev gained some notoriety playing in his first major championship, the 154th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. Lev is the first Ukrainian to ever play the Open Championship. His opening-round 71 provided some promise for Lev’s future. Lev is now ranked 38th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. He will take a couple of weeks off to prepare for the upcoming NCAA Collegiate Season, playing for the University of Arkansas
Gaige Lewis, Springfield, MO/Coach – John Hughes
Gaige played in the Hoosier Amateur, closing out his summer tournament season. It’s now back to work defending his conference title at Drury University.
Brady Lillis, Minneola, FL/Coach – Michael Brunson
Brady shot a personal best round of 73 on his way to claiming the #1 seed on his high school golf team.
Mirah Mijumbi, Swords, Ireland/Coach – John Hughes
Mirah finished T15 in the Girls 11 Age bracket of the 2026 US Kids World Championships!
Tony Prensa, St. Cloud, FL/Coach – John Hughes
After traveling the world as a leading expert in his field, Tony finished a respectable 3rd in his flight of the Golfweek Am Tour held at Rio Pinar.
Maxx Zides, North Attleboro, MA/Coach – Michael Brunson
Maxx shot back to back 69s in the 108th Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship to make the match play round of 16
What About Your July 2026 Client Accomplishments?
Did you accomplish something this past month with your golf game that you’re proud of? For that matter, any month?
Did you have a hole-in-one? Did you reduce your handicap significantly? Did you record your all-time best score? Or did you do the same in a tournament, recording your best tournament round ever?
We know you’re proud of your golf accomplishments. So are we! But you should be sharing your accomplishments. Let the golfing world know about what you achieved!
It’s never too late to let John Hughes Golf know about your golf accomplishments. Even if it happened in the past. Let us know, no matter how big or small you believe your accomplishment might be.
By the way, your golf accomplishments may not actually happen on the golf course. Did you win an award? Did you accomplish a personal best in the gym that allowed you to play better golf?
Like all other posts about our clients, our July 2026 Client Accomplishments post is about the accomplishments we’re made aware of. Or did we find out about you and your golf accomplishments by digging through the internet? It’s easier when you tell us about your accomplishments. We’d rather answer your call or read your texts and emails about your accomplishments as a golfer. But we know the vast majority of our clients’ achievements go unreported!
