August is when amateur tours wind down their season as kids go back to school and collegiate seasons begin. Our August 2026 Client Accomplishments reflect this yearly phenomenon well, with several of our clients entering their first year of collegiate golf while others were wrapping up their competitive seasons.
We say ‘congratulations’ to John’s and Michael’s clients within the August 2026 Client Accomplishments!
Jason Gabriel, Claremont, NC/Coach – John Hughes
Jason ended his US Open Tour season strong, winning the last two regular-season events and coming in second at the tour championship. Congrats, Jason, on a strong 2025-26 US Am Tour campaign!
Lev Grinberg, Ukraine/Coach – John Hughes
Lev was named to multiple pre-season All-American lists and all-freshman teams as he begins his first year at the University of Arkansas
Gaige Lewis, Springfield, MO/Coach – John Hughes
Gaige played in the Hoosier Amateur, closing out his summer tournament season. It’s now back to work defending his conference title at Drury University.
Gannon Lewis, Springfield, MO/Coach – John Hughes
Gannon joins his brother Gaige at Drury as a Freshman. Congrats Gannon!
Mirah Mijumbi, Swords, Ireland/Coach – John Hughes
Helped her team, Leinster, win the Interprovincial Matches for the second straight year, earning victories in all three of her matches.
Tony Prensa, St. Cloud, FL/Coach – John Hughes
Tony finished an impressive T49 in a field of over 120 in the Orlando area US Am Tour Championships. Considering how much Tony is not practicing due to his professional schedule is what makes this finish impressive.
Mark Woodard, Lake Alfred, FL/Coach – John Hughes
Mark began working with John earlier this year to regain his single digit handicap he enjoyed 20+ years ago. Mark achieved a 7 handicap in August 2026. Down from 15 in March. Way to go Mark!
