Club Fitting I recently had a suit altered, for all the right reasons, and it reminded me that it may also be time to schedule a Club Fitting Session for myself. Although I went through the process this time last year, a lot has changed. I am over 40 pounds lighter than I was last year. Due to a new fitness regiment, I am stronger than I was last year. And I have been working hard on a significant swing change to flatten my swing plane. When I went to have the suit altered, the seamstress used tools to insure she would be altering the jacket and trousers to correct measurements that fit my body. When I picked up the suit a few days later, I tried it on to insure the alterations were in fact correct. It was then that I knew that I would look my best wearing that particular suit. Being fit for golf clubs is no different. You should always schedule a Club Fitting Session each and every time you decide to purchase a new club. Doing so insures you are putting a piece of equipment in your bag that was built in a way that provides the best potential for you to hit a solid shot. And if you make significant changes to your body structure or make a significant swing change that alters the plane of your swing, it is time to get re-fitted. I just scheduled my fitting session. I’ll keep you posted…
